We have found our production and warehouse unit. It’s about 15 minutes away from the smallholding. We’ve agreed heads of terms and now need to go through the legal process to secure a lease.
It’s a small, modern, efficient unit on a small industrial estate. Luckily Huddersfield has competitive rents for industrial space and we were able to secure favourable terms.
It’s definitely more modern than the dark satanic mills we looked at originally! Though a lot less character. But ultimately we just need a clean, dry, accessible space and it fits the bill. So we’re excited to move in and get going.
We now have a lot of work to do in sourcing everything we need to get the space set up and running.
We have a plan, but we expect it to evolve a lot, so plenty of trial and error is built in.
