At Allgood Farm, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and cancellations in line with UK consumer law.
1. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
If you purchase from us online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving a reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
- You must notify us of your decision to cancel within this 14-day period by email: sales@allgoodfarm.co.uk.
- You then have another 14 days to return the items to us.
- We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or proof of return).
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
2. Exemptions
Some items cannot be returned under UK law unless they are faulty:
- Perishable goods (e.g., live feeds, fresh produce).
- Custom-made or personalised items.
- Opened goods where hygiene or safety would be compromised.
We will always state clearly on product pages if an item is non-returnable.
3. Natural Products Disclaimer
Our soil mixes are natural, living products, rich in organic matter, and may contain harmless microorganisms. Under certain conditions, fungus gnats or similar organisms may appear, particularly if soil is kept wet. This is a common natural occurrence and not considered a product fault.
- We do not advertise our soil mixes as “sterilised” or “insect-free.”
- Overwatering or storage conditions can encourage gnats to develop, which is a care issue rather than a defect in the product.
- Returns for “faulty” soil must be supported by clear evidence (e.g., photographs or unopened product showing contamination). Once soil has been used in planters or mixed with other materials, we cannot accept it back for hygiene and practical reasons.
4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you have the right to:
- A full refund if you return the item within 30 days.
- A repair or replacement if you return it after 30 days but within 6 months.
- If repair or replacement is not possible, you may still be entitled to a refund.
Please contact us as soon as possible if there’s an issue so we can put it right.
5. Returns Process
To arrange a return, please:
- Contact us at sales@allgoodfarm.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.
- We will confirm the return address and instructions.
- Package items securely and return them within the time frame above.
Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for return postage costs. We recommend using a tracked service.
6. Refunds
- Refunds will include the price paid for goods and the basic delivery cost (if you chose a more expensive delivery option, we will only refund the standard cost).
- Refunds are made using the same payment method as your original order.
- We may deduct an amount for loss in value of goods if they have been handled more than necessary.
